October 2015 Update Good day everyone! I hope you are being blessed by God and being filled more and more with His Holy Spirit. Here’s a brief update on ministry and life in the past month of October and a few things the Lord did. CC Montebelluna This month I had the privilege to participate and baptize several people for the first time! Pastor Craig asked me to do a small Bible study with those that had a desire to be baptized and after our Sunday service I got into the waters with them and was able to baptize three precious ladies. Stoked... Such a joy to be able to see some fruit from the ministry here in MB and the amazing things the Lord is even doing even among the youth as 2 of the 3 people that were baptized were girls from our youth group. The Lord is really stirring in people a desire to grow and it’s so amazing to play such a small part here in MB. Also, in CC Feltre, our sister church about 45 min north of MB, we saw 8 people baptized! And we’ve seen an entire household literally believe on Jesus as their Savior! It truly is a miracle that this family has come to know the Lord. The Lord is growing His church here in Italy. We are seeing new people constantly coming into church and the Lord drawing people to Himself. It’s so amazing just to be a part of it all. CCBC Italy We are about 5 weeks until the end of the semester! Already… And currently I’ve been teaching 20 of our 23 students the 1st and 2nd Letters of the Thessalonians. It’s really been amazing to see how the Lord brings different themes throughout various semesters and one theme that I clearly see Him speaking is ‘The Coming of Christ for His Church’. I’ve enjoyed immensely going through and teaching these letters to the students and knowing that God’s word does not return void and is changing the lives of these students and mine. I look forward to this last half and all that the Lord still wants and will do in all our our lives through these classes and lessons in His word. Discipleship In this past month I’ve seen the Lord really open doors for me to walk through and be used in ways that I never would’ve imagined. I’ve been teaching a few different home Bible studies and leading worship for these small communities of believers. It’s so awesome to be able to go to their homes and come together with about 10 believers and worship the Lord and study His word. Prayer requests

Blessings this end of September to you all! I hope in all of life's circumstances you have found light to shine on your path. Here's a post about what went down in the past 2 months. - Jake Bible College.
It's been a blur of events over these two months. Sometimes I think it's not fair how fast time goes by but it's pretty sobering knowing that that's the reality. We are already in our 5th week into our 16th semester of Bible College here at the Montebelluna Campus and my 8th semester spent serving in Italy. The Lord has seen it fit to bless me with 21 students out of 23 to be taking my class of 1&2 Thessalonians. It truly has been one of the greatest joy's to teach and share God's Word. The nerves never seem to leave before I teach but I guess that's what comes with handling the Bible and imparting it to others. "With fear and trembling." It's been so awesome getting to know all the students and hear the miraculous stories of how the Lord has brought them here to MB and to study the Scriptures. This semester I feel that the Lord really has been giving me a love and a passion for His Word, more than ever before. And that He is preparing me for a greater work and for things I can't even imagine. I am so excited to see how He will use this season of my life as I have so many opportunities to teach; the first week 8 different Bible studies! CC Montebelluna. This month we will have our Baptisms for the Calvary Montebelluna church and also the Calvary Feltre church. More than 10 people have decided to identify with Christ in the baptism with water! It is such a blessing to be able to see some fruit and the results of God's Spirit in the lives of those in the church. I have also seen much fruit in personal discipleship with a few of the guys in the church and seeing how after years of getting coffee, investing, time spent getting to know these guys that the Lord is putting in them a passion to follow Him through our relationships we have developed. In fact, I was able to pray with one guy who prayed with me. It seems like no big deal but it was actually his first time ever praying with someone and praying out loud! And I had the privilege to pray with him and encourage him in that. The Lord is so good to let me see some fruit and results of all the time invested. La Via. We have finally named our College group to the "La Via" - "The Way". As the first Christians were called followers of The Way, it applies to us the fact that in Italy and in this area our little group really are the first Christians who are trying to follow The Way in a community of young adults following everything else besides God. Prayer Request. The CCBC Italy Fall 2015 Semester and the students. My 1st & 2nd Thessalonians class; The Spirit to come upon the students through the power of His Word. The youth and college group I am leading. Wisdom and grace. Thank you guys for your love, prayers, support and concern with my life and what the Lord's doing here in Montebelluna. Any text, e-mail or message means so much knowing that you are praying for me and the ministry here in MB. Blessings. |
